The ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO PhD Scholarship provides exceptional opportunities for researchers from developing countries to pursue doctoral studies in China. This prestigious programme supports up to 40 scholars annually in advancing their scientific education and research capabilities at leading Chinese academic institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Complete required coursework and academic credits
  • Conduct original research leading to doctoral dissertation
  • Participate in Chinese language and cultural training
  • Pass qualification examinations and annual assessments
  • Abide by Chinese laws and institutional regulations
  • Engage in practical research at CAS institutes

Requirements

  • National of eligible developing country (non-Chinese citizen)
  • Master's degree in relevant field
  • Proficiency in English or Chinese
  • Born after January 1, 1991
  • Meeting admission criteria for international students
  • Not currently pursuing PhD in China
