Griffith University International Postgraduate Research Scholarships

The Griffith University International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (GUIPRS) is a competitive award designed to support international candidates undertaking Higher Degree Research programs by offsetting the financial burden of tuition and associated fees.

• Maintain continuous enrolment as a full-time candidate in a nominated Higher Degree Research (HDR) program at Griffith University.
• Achieve and sustain satisfactory academic progress throughout the duration of the scholarship tenure.

• Be an international student (not an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or holder of an Australian Permanent Humanitarian visa).
• Be commencing or currently enrolled in a Higher Degree Research (HDR) program at Griffith University.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours (or equivalent qualification as recognized by the university).
• Must not have previously completed a degree at the same or higher level than the intended HDR program.

• Demonstrated exceptional academic excellence, primarily evidenced by First Class Honours or equivalent.
• A strong and compelling research proposal.
• A competitive academic track record, which may include publications or other research contributions.

• The scholarship covers full tuition fees, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), and the Student Services and Amenities Fee.
• The award is conditional upon adherence to the university's specific scholarship policies and regulations.
• Recipients must not be concurrently in receipt of another equivalent government-sponsored scholarship or award.
• Applicants must have completed less than 12 months of full-time equivalent prior candidature in any HDR program.
• The scholarship does not cover degrees already completed at an equivalent or higher level.
